Odessa Regional Medical Center Opens Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Expansion and Skybridge

Odessa Regional Medical Center will host its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Expansion Grand Opening at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 22nd in the ORMC East Campus Auditorium.
After nine months of construction, ORMC has expanded the NICU by 3,000 square feet and added eight patient beds, bringing the licensed bed capacity from 25 to 33 beds. New equipment and technology were also purchased as part of this expansion project.
ORMC will also unveil its newly constructed skybridge that will open this month to connect the hospital’s east and west campuses over Muskingum Street. The project builder was Layton Construction of Akron, Ohio.
Odessa Regional Medical Center is a 230-bed full-service healthcare facility with 750 employees. ORMC’s Level III NICU opened in 1975 and has grown from a six-bed unit to a 33-bed unit over the last 33 years.
